It has 153.7 cubic feet of passenger space and lets everyone stretch out with 41.5 inches of front legroom and 37.6 inches of rear legroom. The interior of the Honda Pilot isn't as open. Just as it does with passengers, the Honda Pilot offers less space. Its trunk has just 16.5 cubic feet of cargo room. With the back and middle seats folded it only has 83.9 cubic feet of space.

This user-friendly infotainment system offers SiriusXM® All Access and lets you sync your smartphone with Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, and MirrorLink®.

The Honda Pilot offers a touchscreen display, but its standard infotainment system only has a 5-inch LCD screen. It also doesn't Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ until the higher trim levels.

Volkswagen Atlas vs Honda Pilot Capability

The VW Atlas and Honda Pilot are both available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. In either SUV, you'll be able to adjust your drivetrain to match the terrain you're driving on with selectable driving modes.

If you're planning on going off-roading, the Volkswagen may be the better option since two of its modes are Off-Road and Off-Road custom. It also has an 8-inch ground clearance to help you drive over obstacles, ditches, potholes, and steep inclines. The Honda Pilot is a little lower to the ground with a 7.3-inch ground clearance.
